I really hope I'm wrong, but this is pretty much what I was afraid of - vendors dropping PPC support quite soon after the Intel transition was complete. I know Apple will stick with universal binaries for the forseeable future; but there are no guarantees with any other vendors.
Of course I can see the other side of this. Writing universal apps is not just a matter of "checking a box" in XCode; despite what I've heard some non-coders say on the subject.
Let's hope this really is a one-off, and Adobe just did this because it's a new app that wouldn't gain a foothold with the existing PPC crowd. But given their history (or at least the history of their public comments), I wouldn't bank on it.

It's not the job of the government (or government funded agencies) to teach people how to not get knocked up and give out birth control. I don't have any objections to this. I don't pay taxes so Sally doesn't pop out another unit.
But another unit is just what the 'system' requires of Sally, poor girl.

Considering all the iOS elements in Lion - namely Launchpad - I can't see the homescreen grid layout on iOS devices changing anytime soon, but I hope for a lot of UI improvements elsewhere (e.g. notifications).

I just got off the phone with sale rep, and all they have is 32gb and 64gb left. When asked about the price, she said $500 for 32gb (??). I mentioned the article and she still said $500. Weird? Is there an official link to this somewhere on the verizon site, as all I can see is it bundled with mifi @ 429.99 (16gb).

He was at Microsoft for 2 years and over a decade at Yahoo. I would say he's more of a Yahoo employee then Microsoft.
I'm pretty sure he didn't fit in at Microsoft the same way ex-IBMer Papermaster did at Apple.
Its a good thing he's going to work at Apple. Hopefully he can help build a FreeBSD backend like Yahoo once had in it's glory days!
What I find ironic is Apple building data centers and pushing the cloud while they just finished acing the Xserve.
Apple should make a move and buyout Joyent if they really want to get serious. Joyent has been picking up a lot of top talent!
Seeing as OS X is a FreeBSD brethren it's not hard to realize that while XServe is decommissioned that they are still designing, developing and testing future Server Hardware and the Data Center is a great testing ground amidst a huge swath of 3rd party hardware inside there.

I totally agree. Why anyone would hold out for that color and why Apple spent so much time trying to get that white paint to work properly is beyond me.

The standard file system of SDXC cards is exFat (http://www.sdcard.org/developers/tech/sdxc/capabilities/) -- so does this mean the Mini now supports exFat?
Not necessarily. You could reformat the cards using HFS+ and use it on any device that can read HFS+. The trouble is, that likely wouldn't include any device using the SDXC standard.

On a previous thread, the weight of the iphones was found to be slightly different. Some people claimed manufacturing processes are too exact for the difference in mass shown in the pictures posted in the thread. But these people were ignoring the fact that the masses of each color iphone shown in the pictures were less than the mass of the iphone as stated on Apple's site.

i don't think that's iOS5. i think it's an early build of iOS4.
the new folder creation looks awful and incomplete.
Or it could be a special internal build of iOS 4 to evaluate the features if iOS 5, without releasing the OS itself. In the video, there is a messenger bubble that is not filled in, which may imply there is something unique about this build.

Those were the two good games... Then there were things like Pac-Pix, Pok�mon Rush etc. Also the original DS was really ugly, especially compared to the PSP :) In the end though, DS Lite came out as the winner.
One thing I really liked about the DS was that it came with a Metroid Prime Hunters demo, so there was at least something to play with immediately. Same thing with the AR cards included with the 3DS.
I'm really looking forward to future 3DS games, but then I always remember how the thing is region locked :( I have lots of Japanese and American games, for example Ouendan 1 & 2, Taiko no Tatsujin, Phoenix Wright etc. Many of these games didn't come out in Europe at all or came around a year late.

Will the Lion Server allow me to keep one set of data accessible from my iMac & MBP so they are basically working with only one set of files? I don't want to migrate data from my iMac to my new MBP because between the iLife projects I don't want them living on separate machines... I simply want to close iMovie or excel for example and pick right up where I left up on the MBP once I'm upstairs! I set up file sharing and accessing the iPhoto library from the iMac takes forever to load, nevermind the loss of certain features like location tagging and I've yet to get iMovie to open the iMac library without having it crash. I know I sound like an total moron here, but the good news is when it comes to computers, I am, and I've accepted that.;)

RFID is insecure. The british RFID passports have been cracked within less than 48 hours, the German test ones in less than a day. I wouldn't trust RFID for any important and sensible information like payment services. It's fine for stuff like tracking packages or my skiing card - but that's it.
And why is it insecure that a passport encryption has been cracked?
Every passport has it's unique number and personal details, so even if a forgerer created a new passport to sell to some guy with shifty eyes the passport number returned when read would reveal the passport as false.
I really cant understand the fright towards new technologies, yes sure, all in all, we are headed towards a future where tracking ppl becomes easy, but we've been down that road since we got social security id/personal numbers at birth.
In the case with a RFID NFC reader in the iphone, your personal integrity has not been compromised beyond any extent compared to what it was before.
This tech makes life easier and is not endangering our personal integrity anymore than it already is.

This comparison is garbage. The reviewer took a 13" MBP 2011 with a 2.3 GHz i5, 4GB and 128GB SSD and compared it to a 11" MBA with 1.4 GHz, 2GB and 64GB SSD. I would have liked to see him put a 13" MBA with 2.1Ghz and 4GB, I don't think the differences would have been so dramatic.
There is no way a decision to purchase a SB MBA should be influenced by such a lopsided comparison.

Google Maps will give you directions, but will not give you a turn-by-turn 3D view that tracks your position and shows you which lanes to get in, etc.... Google has a turn-by-turn nav app for Android though.
Also, Navigon and Tom-Tom will download all the maps you purchased with the app, so you have access to maps even when hiking or driving on a remote trail where there is no service available. Both Navigon and Tom-Tom are moving toward a model where if the map is wrong you can report that it is incorrect and they can fix it faster and provide updates.
Real-time maps means they are up-to-date, when you have network (similar to Google Maps).
I think Garmin failed on this one -- additionally the interface looks a bit cartoony.
