considering that amazon sells mp3 format and apple sells their non-universal format, it still doesn't matter to me. Until apple gets real and starts selling MP3s I will continue to buy from amazon. But I guess they don't care.
I guess I have the opposite view of this since I will buy from iTunes as long as they continue to provide a lossless format--and Amazon provides only a lossy format. That is more important to me than a slight price difference. AAC plays on anything I need to play it on--and it could be converted to another lossless format such as FLAC if you really wanted to get out from under Apple's proprietary format. I am also a huge Amazon fan and a Prime member and buy a lot of stuff from them--but not MP3s.

Look... I don't want to be a hater or anything like that but I have a first generation Ipod Touch... I got it as a present for my birth day, a month latter my wife have an Iphone 4 for her birthday so she sold her 3gs that i used to compare with My phone, the nexus One, look guys I need to be honest here, I got FULL Flash in my phone since it came out in the app market , and so far NOT a single problem with it, I remember when Jobs says it is not possible for a mobile device to have flash blah, battery drain, blah, poor performance blah, blah, blah... Dude flash is Awesome on my Android phone! no lag, no battery fast drain fast, no problems!!! do you guys have any tiny little Idea how @$#%^ cool it is going to www.newgrounds.com on my phone!? do you know!? or just playing online games like the ones on www.arcadepod.com? plus most of the apps are free!!! including that pathetic flash converter browser Skyfire that by the way is being in Android app market for like forever already!!! also it is sad that you have to Root (aka jailbroke) to get 20% more "liberty" with your phone! I already "convert" 4 Iphone users to Android at my job (400 plus workers) the rest are just plain envious of what android is capable of!!! without ROOTING!!! ahhh and don't get me starting in what you can do with a Root Android phone... My next Phone will be the Android HTC G2 that once rooted you can "BOST" to the phone to its real power........... 1.4 ghz!!!!!!!!!!!! The headline for this story is misleading based on the data provided.
All we have is ONE Apple engineer's case notes mentioning
Proposed Resolution: this is a basic trouble shooting case so that the customer may report back to ATT to show that the phone is fully functional and the problem is consistent with the service provided by ATT
All the tech is saying is "the iPhone is fully functional", or in other words: there is no evidence of a hardware issue on this customer's iPhone.
Nowhere does it say anything about what AT&T considers "normal". This engineer does not even work for AT&T. She's simply saying that she confirmed that this particular unit seems to be OK on a hardware level and referred the customer to AT&T for resolution.
Move along...

I don't care what anyone says, even "Microsoft". Until an amendment is apply to the licensee agreement, I'm going to use it the way it is stated. I'm not going to install the software in a virtual machine on the licensed device.
My guess is the licensee, either is correct as written, or they will release a new agreement when the actual product ships. If MS intends for thier software not to be installed in a VM, they will clarify in the license agreement.

1) the software installed on the host system can't be used to install again as guest system on the virtual machine on the same host system.
2) installing the software on a virtual machine as a guest system implies installing on a host computer that is running the virtualization software. that makes the host computer the actual "licensed" device. however, because the software is running in a virtual machine on the licensed device, this is contradicted by the eula.

Walt Mossberg wrote a very interesting article in the Wall Street Journal about 2 weeks ago in which he said independent research had noted that 19% of all college students now use a Mac. That number is expected to grow leaps and bounds by this time next year.

Unless MS starts wrapping DRM into your ripped collection. There is no advantage to buying an iPod over a Zune. Which is bad for MS because there is already tons millions if iPod users to sway.
I heard that WMP did add DRM to CDs you ripped yourself. Don't know if it's true, though.

Any idea where the best place for a black 16 wifi would be? I think that's all I really need, no 3g and i'll only have apps, maybe a movie here or there when traveling, no? Brea is the closest to me but it sounds like a battlefield, i'd prefer a Best Buy since I have giftcards but my recent time spent there makes me feel like i'd rather spend the money in gift cards to not have to go there again.
Or just do what I did. Buy one of whatever they have, and trade for the 16 WiFi and cash.

What's with all the developers that won't do Universal Apps?
If you're supporting both platforms anyway, it's actually far less code, and less testing to just do a Universal App. (I know, I've done two of them so far.)
So I can charge more money for 2 platforms! Thats why (I think) the SlingPlayer app will not be universal. If you want to get the iPhone and iPad app it will be $60 instead of $30
