Apple inc. Idea of technology is simple if product A is X weight and Y thin. Any upgrade to product A that will and can result in the weight being greater then X then the upgrade is not a worthwhile addition to the phone.
I like apple but they are to damn cautious of a company. Google is know for its innovations, but more ever it does things that most people would not think of many of these Ideas fail others become standard. Apple needs to be more on the front lines and take risk. Nothing wrong with a few bad products.
Is it a bad thing that apple doesn't want to increase the size of the iPhone? There are people who want/accept huge phones but the fact remains that the motorola razr is historically one of the most successful phones and people criticized the iPhone on its realease for it's size.
The majority of the market wants smaller phones. Apple should go after that

How are they different? They are both round with a 3D look and have a triangle with the same alignment and angles in the middle. They even perform the same function, to start playback of media content. Are you really going to nitpick about the colors? That's not different enough, Apple should definetely sue.

I have a feeling that whatever problems they had with the white color was solved a long time ago. I'm sure they've been ready to produce white iPhones fr several months and are waiting till the 1 year anniversary time fram to start shipping the white iPhone to boost sales seeing as the iPhone 5 was pushed back to September.
This. With a White iPhone coming out this close to past annual release date(s) of Next Gen iPhones, this further backs the rumors of a later release (fall) of iPhone 5. I love my iPhone 4 and hope that 5 is more kick ass updates under the same hood. Loved my 2g, disliked 3G, 3GS form factors, but am led further to believe that with iPhone 4 coming in white, this late in the cycle, that the iPhone 5 will be more of a slight upgrade iPhone 4G/GS as mentioned in past posts and forums. My .02

I love this image, it is sooooo over the top for one mouse. If it was even a mac mini it would look more appropriate, but a mouse on a table with white paneling on all sides is in my opinion really idiotic.

People looking to upgrade to iPhone 5 should be happy.. If it's delayed, that means they're taking their time and hopefully making a great product. Hoping for a bigger screen and antenna back inside!

Too bad the phone will be on the market for 6 months without a single software update then release a new phone telling customers if they want bugs fixed they'll have to buy a new phone rather than expecting a free software update. The fact that people take seriously Samsung's mobile phones really shows what a legion of drones there are out there - if Samsung aren't abandoning their Android users at the earliest instance they're screwing up WP7 updates.

They're probably facing some shortage of SSD drives. If you want a BTO with SSD it says 2-3 weeks for the 21" and 4-6 weeks for the 27". Crazy

It seems unlikely that Apple will employ this none-touch technology in the next-gen iPod. Can you imagine how much battery life it would take? Just to prevent fingerprints?
I imagine the full-screen iPod will indeed use a touch-screen in order to increase screen size - but it's impractical to employ motion sensors in a gadget like this, which people use while walking, in their pocket, in their car, etc.
I'm not saying Apple will do this, but a more practical solution would be to coat the touch screen with Durabis (the Blu-ray scratch coating) or something similar so that scratches and fingerprints don't show up. That would be MUCH cheaper, conserve battery life and space, and allow for sort-of tactile-feedback (at least touching a smooth surface) and easy operation - keeping your fingers floating just above it is a novel but inconvenient way of doing things.

Why would you need 64 bit for a MBA? To fly off those huge sample libraries that the processor would lock up over?
64 bit is only for massive memory allocations and a MBA doesn't even have the CPU to pull it off... :rolleyes:
At this point I think it's mainly a matter of keeping the platform unified. Why support two kernals longer than you have to? The sooner Apple makes 64-bit the default, the sooner they can dump the 32-bit kernal altogether.
